Choises

I have always been annoyed about the many choices available today. It’s like going into a store for toothpaste and finding so many different brands and types that you just stand there scratching your head! The other day I went to get gas and I laughed because the gas pump had five different choices for regular gas!

While these choices really don’t make a difference in life the choice of religion does. There are many choices out there sayingIMG_1340 they are the true way to God, but they cannot all be right, so how do we know the right one?

God has left witnesses on the earth to show the world the true way. Three ways that help to see God’s true way are the Bible, eye witnesses and prophecy fulfilled.

Now there are skeptics who do not believe these are witnesses because those who wrote the Bible are gone and it could have been altered, eye witnesses to Jesus are gone and there hasn’t been a prophecy fulfilled since 1948.

For thousands of years people have been trying to get rid of the Bible, but God keeps it with His mighty power. There are rare books of antiquities which are few in number, but the Bible, which also is a book of antiquities, has more available copies now than any time before, I even have one on my phone!

Gamaliel, a Jewish teacher in the first century, is recorded in the Bible as saying in Acts 5:33-39, when the Apostles were spreading the word about Jesus, “… But if it is God, you will not be able to overthrow them; or else you may even be found fighting against God.”

He was saying if this movement is not from God it will disappear just like all the rest of them, the Christian faith is not only still around after thousands of years but many people are still giving their life to Jesus everyday.

If the Bible were just some man made random writings it would have never stood the test of time. Every word of the Bible is true and is revealed to you when you truly want to know the truth.

As for eye witnesses, there are more than we can count. Any one who has believed Jesus is God’s Son and that He died for their sins is a witness.

A Christian has the personal witness of the Holy Spirit within them which works in them changing their character to be like Jesus. What makes an eye witness is those who witness their changed life.

No other religion can change a person from the inside out. They only say what to do outwardly, not changing the sinful heart. This is why it is so important to make those changes in your life when God asks you to. You do not have to, but the witness to those around you is lost, if they don’t see a change then Christianity is just like all the rest of the religions.

There have been many prophecies fulfilled through out history the but the skeptics say that even psychics can also predict the future, so Biblical prophecy means no more than a psychics prediction. Any one can have a lucky guess.

There is one prophecy being fulfilled right now in our time that escapes their notice. Jesus said in Matthew 24:14, “And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world for a witness to all the nations, and then the end shall come.”

Over 90 percent of the world has had the Gospel preached to them. Prophecy is being fulfilled before our eyes. Christianity has been proven for thousands of years to be the way God has chosen.

  1. Beautifully written. My Bible study right now is on 1 John. This book is all about how to know if a teacher or person is in Christ. The other thing I know to be true where the Bible’s accuracy is in question and the prophecies is that every single one of the prophecies have come true of those that have been predicted so far. And the historical facts keep being proven. My oldest and I went to the Holy Lands three years ago and one of the things that was always refuted was that there was no historical evidence of Pontious Pilate, but then they found a stone at Caeserea Maritime with his name inscripted on it. It is amazing at the accuracy of the Bible.
