In this day there are thousands of Bible believing Churches to choose from, so how do I know which one to choose?
One thing we must understand is God is not concerned with the style of service you attend, in fact you can go to whichever one you want to. He is more concerned with your motive. Why do you go to church?
In Isaiah 1:1-15 God tells Israel, through the prophet Isaiah, that He took no pleasure in their worship, that it had even become a burden to Him!
Why? Because of their heart attitude.
Even though they were following the law of worship they missed the point of worship, and for us to attend a weekly service because we think God will be pleased, misses the point of worship.
To worship God is to bow yourself before Him, allowing Him every place in your life, following the leading of the Holy Spirit’s call to action.
Jesus said to the woman at the well, when she asked Him where to worship, “But an hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers. God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” John 4:23-24
Father, help us to check our heart motive and then lead us to the church You want us to attend. In the name of Jesus, amen
