Good Intentions

It is New Year’s eve and many of us have made New Year’s resolutions. Each year it seems we start off with good intentions of getting closer to God and getting healthy but before we know it we have forgotten and have fallen away from our plans.

This year, just like you, I will try again, but this time I have an inspirational quote to hopefully keep me on track.

” The way you take care of what God has given you tells Him how grateful you are.” Joyce Meyer

If we were to give someone a gift and then found out later they were not taking care of it, we would be offended and even say they are ungrateful.

How do you treat what God has given you?  How do you treat your spouse, your children, your possessions, your body?

These are all gifts from God and are deserving of our attention and appreciation. We can show God our gratitude by taking thoughtful care in each of these areas.

  1. Wonderful post. This is a great outlook to have. We are precious and God paid a very steep price for us (Jesus). This reminds me of Proverbs 14:31 – Whoever oppresses a poor man insults his Maker, but he who is generous to the needy honors him.

God is our maker and surely we should do everything within our power to honor anything God has made by taking care of it. God Bless.
