Contentment

Are you content or do your feelings go up and down like a yo-yo?

God’s idea of being content is for your emotions to remain the same in the midst of every circumstance, even if it is difficult.

We can do this by remembering that each circumstance has first gone through the Father and is being used to take us further in our quest to become Christ like.

Philippians 4:11 states, “Not that I speak from want, for I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am.”

  1. I can definitely apply this to my life. It is so easy to let our emotions get the best of us when things do not go the way we think they should. Keeping my emotions the same no matter what my situation sounds awesome and is something I will work toward. Thanks for this reminder.
