Flaming Missiles

Once you conquer a wrong attitude in your life you might think you will never have to face it again, but even if you have forgotten it, the Devil has not and will use your past against you at any time.

Last Sunday I visited a new Church, hoping to find one closer to my house. While there, the Devil started throwing flaming missiles. I realized this when the Pastor started his sermon about giving.

The reason this topic was a flaming missile is, in my twenties I stopped going to Church because I thought the pastor only wanted my money. (You can read about this here: https://stretchingyourfaith.net/2012/03/15/the-thief-and-the-money/)

The past two Churches I have visited, the sermon was about giving. Lol. This was the Devils feeble attempt to get me to not go to Church!

Ephesians 6:16, “In addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming missiles of the evil one.”

Father, help me always to be able spot the missiles of the Devil, set on fire from hell, and use my faith in Jesus to extinguish them.

  1. This is a common thread for many of us. The giving is an issue because recipients many times don’t use it properly. However, the Scriptures speak clearly about giving to those who serve us by being obedient to Him. When you give, it is between you and God. He loves a cheerful giver. If you don’t have it, no cause for for shame. If you have it and don’t want to give it, no cause for shame. However, the bottom line is God may be dealing with you about giving. Give what you want, what you have or not at all. Trust God and shame the devil. He has been using these flaming missiles since the beginning. These flaming missiles are directly related to our emotions. Check and see why the missile is flaming. Just my thoughts…I am a follower and anticipate more interesting posts regarding this journey of ours. Have a blessed day!
