Whenever the life of Peter is concidered we automatically think about his failures, but Peters character, like ours, was so much more than his failures.

Peter was a man full of faith, obedience amd commitment.

In Matthew 4:19 when Jesus said, “Follow Me and I will make you fishers of men.” Peter gave up everything. He left his business, his family and his way of life.

Even after his denial of Jesus, he kept on going, becoming a great father of the faith, bringing many to the truth.

I think God added Peter to the twelve, because he is an accurate example of the Christian life.

Comming to Jesus by faith, trying his best, falling flat on his face, weeping bitterly, getting back up and helping others.

Father, help us to remember when we fail that we are more than our failures, and give us the strength to get up and continue on. In the name of Jesus, amen.
