Are You Grateful?

“The way you take care of what God has given you, tells Him how grateful you are.” Joyce Meyer.

Think about it. Say you buy your teen an expensive computer, and after a week you discover they had written all over it with magic marker. Then a few days later you find it outside on the porch.

You would not only be angry but would probably take the computer away from them, calling them ungrateful.

Our actions speak louder than words, even to God. Sure He knows your heart, but He also knows how much time and energy you put into taking care of His gifts to you.

These gifts might include a car, house, job, spouse or children. But I think the gift that is most important to God is our salvation.

Philippians 2:12 tells us, to work out our salvation because God is working both to will and to work for His good pleasure. Hebrews 2:3 asks how we can escape recompense if we neglect so great a salvation?

So how do we show God we are grateful for our salvation?

We show God our greatfullness by following through and growing in respect to our salvation. We do this by continually reading and studying the word of God and applying it to our lives.

When we take active steps to learn what God is all about from the Bible and try to be like Him, we honor Him and show Him how grateful we are for the salvation He has given us.

2 Peter 3:18 states, “You therefore, beloved, since you know this beforehand, beware lest you also fall from your own steadfastness, being led away with the error of the wicked; but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen.”
