Trusting

A few weeks ago I  was trying to purchase some items when I discovered my bank card was not working, even though it had worked earlier that day.

I started to become very angry because I knew there was money in the account and I could not see any reason for it to suddenly stop working.

Then things became even more frustrating when I called the bank but could not get an answer on why my card was not working, but after a few calls I finally found somebody who could tell me what was going on.

Imagine the relief I felt when I discovered they closed my card because someone was stealing from me!

In that instance my countenance went from angry too happy, all because I discovered that it was for my good, that I was being protected.

This experience reminded me of how God works in our lives, helping us all the time, causing every event in our lives to be turned for good, even when we can’t understand what’s going on.

I was embarrassed before our Father, because I became angry instead of thinking, He loves me and this must be the right thing to do or it would not be happening.

Trusting is more than just words, it is fully believing that He has your back in every situation faced, even if it feels like your world is falling apart.

Today Romans 8:28 has an experiential knowledge in my life and I pray I never forget our Fathers great love for me.

And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28.

Father, help me to always trust your wonderful work in my life, knowing that this would not be happening unless it was the best for me. Amen
