Jesus said, “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. “Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.”
One way to let our light shine is in the way we handle our problems. Everyone in the world has problems and our problems as Christians are not any different than theirs. Whenever we express to others our hurt, anger or even disappointment over any situation that happens, we are in effect putting that basket over our light.
The preacher said, “As Christians, we should not be bent over like a question mark but standing straight like an explanation point!” We should walk with uprightness through any problem, proudly proclaiming our light, as we know God has got this!
Romans 8:28, “And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.”
Father, help me not to complain to anyone about my problems, but to stand upright, knowing that You have got everything under control. In the name of Jesus, amen.
