Isn’t it amazing how we feel different each day. Every day we wake up and we notice how we feel, sometimes we feel good sometimes we feel bad, sometimes we even have a certain thought or fear that comes to our mind. This morning when I woke up, I immediately had a thought that was particularly disturbing to me. I began to dwell on the thought for a while, until on my way to work I passed by a church, which displayed on their sign, “Thou wilt keep in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee because he trusts in thee.”
One of the ways the devil tries to disrupt our life is by putting thoughts into our mind. Remember, 1 Peter 5:8 states, “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walks about, seeking whom he may devour.” Which simply means he’s going to do everything he can to mess up your day.But it does not have to be this way, it is up to us to control that thought, to not let it ruin our day. Thankfully, God gives us exactly how to do this, and that is by keeping our mind on him.
Father, thank You for being here for us and for leaving Your word that helps us in our daily struggles against the devil’s attacks. In Jesus name, amen.
