Thinking Faith

The most difficult aspect in speaking another language is translating your natural thoughts to form words in the new language. To be proficient in another language, one must learn how to think in that language, rather than their own. The same is true for faith. In Christianity it is crucial that we learn to think in the way of faith, rather than our own thoughts which were formed from past experiences.

Learning to think in the way of faith takes time and effort, because we must learn the concepts and character of God. Learning the concepts of God helps you to think like God and learning His character gives you the assurance that He will be faithful, giving you hope in your walk of faith.

“I have stretched out My hands all day long to a rebellious people, Who walk in a way that is not good, according to their own thoughts.” Isaiah 65:2.

Father, help us to learn about You, to change our thoughts to Your thoughts and to be able to walk a life of great faith. In the name of Jesus, I pray, amen.
