Do You Want To Hear God Say Well Done?

I hear it said quite often, what people want to hear when standing before the throne is, “Well done My good and faithful servant.” This statement comes from the parable Jesus told of the talents in Matthew 25, when the servants were told this after being praised for the choices they made.

It is the same for us. If you really want to hear well done my good and faithful servant, what is needed from you is to make the right choices. But what choices do we need to make in order to hear these words? Among the many things we can do for God, the most important is giving up our free will for His will. We have the freedom given to us by the Father to do anything we want, but if we really want to please Him, we will give that freedom up for Him.

Jesus spent His entire life giving up His will for the Father, so much so that He could say in John 5:19, “Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, unless it is something He sees the Father doing; for whatever the Father does these things the Son also does in like manner.”

When we give up our will for His, we automatically become pleasing to Him, because we are doing His will.

Father thank you for the free will that you gave us and thank you for the example of Jesus showing us we can become pleasing to You by giving up our will as a sacrifice to You.
